Inés Belli (b. 1993) is a choreographer and dancer based in Oslo, Norway. She holds a BA in Jazz dance from Oslo National Academy of Arts (2015), as well as having studied several shorter course studies at Dans och Cirkushögskolan in Stockholm, University of Oslo and BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo. She is currently a postgraduate student at Goldsmiths University, London, class of 2020.
Through her choreographic practice, Inés is concerned with traditions, structures and power relations that shape and limit our understanding of the work around us, and how we can use dance and choreography as a means for critical reflection. In her most current works, she has been using with Jazz dance and commercial dance as a point of reference.
In 2029, Inés premiered her first full evening performance, Postmodern Cool, at Dansens Hus Oslo, selected for Aerowaves Twenty’20. Other that that, she has created several shorter works presented at various venues in Oslo and has made commissioned works for Oslo National Academy of Arts and Spin-Off pre-professional program (Oslo).
Inés has participated in several residency scholarship and programs, amongst others at DansiT in Trondheim, Norway (2018) and Opera Estate, Bassano Del Grappa, Italy (2019). She has received Arts Council Norway’s Artists Working Grant for 2019-2021.
